Haunting. That's the only way to describe the vacant, frozen stare in her eyes, as she disappears inside herself. Her bright blue eyes are full of nothing but terror, a layer of glossy ice, frozen in her internal nightmare.

What the fuck is happening to her? The second we realized she was despondent, we let go of her. "Nothing's working! Do we call her mom or take her to the hospital?" Kai's panic-stricken voice sends me over the edge, they're both in pain and for me, it's excruciating.

"No, no, turn the shower on, I'll carry her in." Kai rushes into the bathroom and I hear the running water a second later. I push my arms under her weightless body, holding her close and I can't ignore how incredible it feels to have her in my arms, willingly or otherwise. She's pure fucking perfection, and despite everything, I miss her. I have missed her so goddamn much.

"Come on baby, wake up." Kai's already stripped out of his shirt and jeans, only left in his boxers standing under the stream of water, ready to take Eva so I can do the same. I carefully angle her body, careful not to knock any part of her body on the large glass walls, and pass her tiny body over the Kai who instantly presses her so close to his naked chest, as if she might break if he doesn't hold her. But I have a feeling it's him who might break without her, and I feel it too.
